Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) is the American Dental Association’s national children’s access to dental care initiative launched in 2003. Together with thousands of volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants and students, the state and local component of the ADA hold events each February to examine and treat children who otherwise don’t have access to dental care. The photos on this page are from the GKAS event on February 4, 2005 at the Dental Hygiene Clinic of Shawnee State University. The event involved the SSU Department of Dental Hygiene and the Southern Ohio Dental Society.
